Sarah Kavanagh

Founder & Managing Director

Sarah didn’t get into marketing because she loved ads.

She got into it because she was fascinated by what makes people pay attention; the human psychology behind it.

One thing has always been clear:

The businesses that grow fastest aren’t necessarily the loudest.

They’re the ones who combine powerful creative with smart data and a clear human-led strategy.

This is where Sense, The Social Agency began!

Sarah works from Sense’s HQ in Howick, Auckland.

Olly Kumarich

Head of Digital Advertising

Olly is an absolute powerhouse at Meta Ads!

He is highly skilled in scaling New Zealand businesses and delivering results beyond expectations.

Having first worked together a number of years ago, Olly has now joined Sarah at Sense.

Having achieved so much success together; running over $1m in ad spend for clients and scaling their growth, Olly brings real-world experience growing and scaling service-based businesses, and brings an unrivalled energy to the team!

Olly works from Sydney, and is our only overseas team member.

Shane Kavanagh

Head of Data & AI

Shane is a specialist in getting the most out of data assets. He helps transform and automate through the smart use of data, and can build AI agents to assist with revenue growth in the following areas:

  • Advertising services.

  • Predictive Analytics, machine Learning and AI.

  • Manufacturing efficiencies and automation.

  • ESG data management and sustainable improvements in water, utilities, and transport.

  • Intelligent Document Processing and Generative AI.

  • Automated financial planning and profitability.

Shane splits his time between Howick and the City, depending on his client schedule.

Nicole Erceg

Digital Account Director

Nicole is a seasoned digital consultant with a strong agency background and incredible digital knowledge.

Having worked with some of New Zealand’s biggest brands, she brings a wealth of experience and valuable insight to Sense, The Social Agency. Over the past few years, Nicole has honed her digital skills working with small Kiwi businesses, helping them grow.

Sarah and Nicole have worked together since Sense started in 2018, with Nicole being the agency client lead for a number of Sense clients.

Nicole joined the Sense team in May 2026 and works locally in Howick, Auckland, with Sarah.
